Dog sweet dog
After weeks of consideration (and nights of Garrett sleeping in his own bed to get a reward), we finally decided to get another
pet. We opted for a young dog versus a kitten (they just grow into cats) or a pup (why clean up pee spots every hour?).

With determination in our heart, we travelled yesterday to the Humane Society, ready to bring home our newest
family member. We had done some reconnaissance via their website and thus narrowed down our choices before arriving. One look
at the boxer-terrier mix and we were in love - our quick little get-to-know-each-other romp outside sealed the deal.
So our excited clan (one boy, one dog, two parents) walks to the front desk to complete paperwork when we learn they had
already closed the computer down for the day. Our anticipation quickly turned to disappointment as we leave the building
My husband pointed out later a sign notifying the computers shut-down at 4:30 p.m. but really? Couldn't
they leave on the computer for just a few more minutes? For a place that appears to beg for animal adopters, this rule doesn't seem too
customer-oriented. Oh well, we are still looking forward to tonight's canine reunion!
