Happy St. Patrick's Day

Funny thing happened on the way to school...
I reminded my first grader that St. Patrick's Day tradition
allows you to pinch someone who isn't wearing green today. Since we were driving to school having this discussion, I glanced
in the rear-view mirror for his reaction.
Picture, if you will, the slow devious smile of the Grinch. Now place
that same ornery look on an innocent-seven-year-old face as the full reality of potential opportunity takes root. (From a
mom's perspective this was kind of funny yet kind of concerning as I wonder if I'll get a call from the Principal's office
He then says, "I bet Dad didn't wear green today because he forgot to wear it last year."
Note to Dad: you've been warned!

After a busy week, I couldn't wait for Friday to get here. Not only did we have a hectic weekend at the MIAA basketball tournament,
we nursed Gerard through a fever so that he would be ready to head to Oklahoma for even more basketball this weekend.

In a flash, I was thankful for all my blessings and my "stressful" week didn't seem so bad after
all. TGIF took on new meaning for me: Thank God It's Fine.
